Drummond Island is one of Michigan’s hidden gems. For Stephanie and Rob, it wasn’t just a wedding location. It was the perfect setting to celebrate a love story rooted in quiet strength, warmth, and shared adventure.
The day began with peaceful getting-ready moments tucked inside a rustic cabin surrounded by pine and autumn leaves. Stephanie wore a stunning gown from Brides by Young – Schaumburg, a soft tulle piece scattered with delicate pearl details. Her floral crown mirrored the natural beauty of the island, bringing wild elegance to her bridal look. Rob wore a classic navy suit from Men’s Wearhouse, timeless and sharp, perfectly complementing the earthy fall palette. Makeup was done by Arielle Roth Makeup Artistry, keeping the look soft, romantic, and confident.
Their ceremony overlooked the water with moody skies and mist settling over the shoreline. Surrounded by quiet waves, tall grass, and golden hues, they exchanged vows on the dock with the lake as their witness. Just as the sun set, the northern lights appeared faintly above the horizon, creating an unforgettable moment no one will forget.
Their dog, Honey, proudly joined the celebration, stealing hearts during portraits.
The reception took place inside the lodge, where the space transformed into a warm, intimate gathering. Hundreds of candles and twinkle lights cast a golden glow over long tables dressed in dark linens and mossy greenery. The woodland tablescape featured glass cloches, pinecones, and soft candlelight, bringing an enchanting forest indoors.
Guests were welcomed with music by On The Mark Entertainment, who kept the energy flowing all night. Blue Skies Bakery crafted the desserts, giving the evening a sweet finish. One of the most beautiful parts of the night was stepping back outside for a few final portraits under the soft glow of the northern lights, with the forest and lake behind them.
