Arissa and Chase’s wedding at Dow Diamond in Midland, Michigan was a beautiful combination of timeless romance, meaningful moments, and a little baseball magic. From their ceremony inside the Tri-Star Club to romantic portraits on the baseball field, their day was filled with laughter, love, and so many genuine moments with their favorite people. The combination of soft blue wedding details, classic navy suits, elegant white florals, and the unique setting of Dow Diamond, home to Minor League Baseball Team – The Loons, created a wedding that felt both traditional and completely their own.

Arissa wore a beautiful white wedding gown from Becker’s Bridal with a square neckline, delicate beaded embroidery, and a flowing skirt that caught the light throughout the day. Her romantic updo, pearl necklace, and long veil complemented the intricate details of her dress. Chase kept things classic in a navy blue suit from Men’s Wearhouse with a light blue tie, white floral boutonniere, and brown leather shoes. Their wedding attire paired perfectly with the blue and white color palette woven throughout the celebration.

Their wedding details were some of my favorite parts of the day, especially because we had the opportunity to incorporate the baseball stadium into their photographs. Arissa’s gown hung near the field with the stadium seating and baseball netting in the background, creating such a unique contrast between the elegance of her dress and the character of Dow Diamond. The bridesmaids wore a beautiful mix of dusty blue and light blue dresses in different fabrics and silhouettes, while the groomsmen wore coordinating navy suits. White roses, pale blue hydrangeas, baby’s breath, and soft greenery filled the bouquets, bringing everything together without feeling overly formal.

Before the ceremony, Arissa and Chase shared a quiet moment together as they read from their letters. Against the natural stone walls and dark glass doors of the Tri-Star Club, the moment felt intimate and emotional. Those quieter parts of a wedding day are always some of my favorites to document because they capture the anticipation, excitement, and connection between two people before everything officially begins.

Their ceremony took place inside the Tri-Star Club at Dow Diamond, where natural stone walls, a beautiful fireplace, and large windows created a warm setting for their vows. A lush arrangement of white and blue flowers decorated the fireplace behind them, tying the ceremony space into the rest of their wedding design. Surrounded by their wedding party and guests, Arissa and Chase stood together holding hands, smiling, and exchanging vows. The space felt elegant while still maintaining the distinctive character of the baseball stadium.

Dow Diamond gave us so many incredible opportunities for portraits throughout the day. Outside the stadium, we photographed Arissa and Chase with their wedding party beneath mature trees and surrounded by lush greenery. The soft blue bridesmaid dresses, navy suits, and white floral bouquets looked beautiful against the natural backdrop. We also used the large outdoor staircase for a more structured wedding party portrait, with everyone arranged along the steps between the brick walls and green railings. The combination of traditional wedding attire and the stadium’s architecture created photographs that felt classic with a little something unexpected.

Of course, we couldn’t photograph a wedding at Dow Diamond without heading into the baseball stadium itself. Arissa and Chase took advantage of the dugout for some of my favorite portraits of the day. They sat together on the long wooden bench, holding hands and laughing, with Arissa’s veil and gown flowing across the seating. We also captured portraits of them standing together in the dugout, surrounded by the familiar baseball signage and stadium architecture. There was something so fun about seeing a wedding gown and navy suit in a space typically filled with baseball players.

One of the most romantic moments of the day happened when we made our way onto the field for golden hour portraits. The warm sunlight illuminated Arissa’s gown as Chase lifted her into his arms, creating a beautiful moment with the baseball stadium stretching out behind them. Her dress flowed around the two of them as they embraced, and the entire scene felt like the perfect combination of playful and romantic. Rather than feeling overly posed, their portraits captured the way they naturally interacted with each other while making the most of such a unique wedding venue.

The celebration continued inside the Tri-Star Club, where white linens, soft lighting, and blue and white floral arrangements complemented the venue’s stone architecture. Arissa and Chase shared a beautiful dance together as their family and friends watched nearby. The warm reception lighting, string lights overhead, and surrounding guests created an intimate atmosphere for those quieter moments before the party really got started.

As the evening continued, the dance floor filled with friends and family ready to celebrate. Guests danced beneath colorful lights, waved glowing foam sticks in the air, sang along to the music, and filled the room with laughter. From couples dancing together to groups of friends completely letting loose, the reception was full of the kind of spontaneous moments that make wedding photography so much fun. One of my favorite photographs from the evening was a massive group photo of Arissa and Chase surrounded by their wedding guests, everyone waving, cheering, and smiling toward the camera. It was such a fun way to capture all the people who came together to celebrate them.

Arissa and Chase’s Dow Diamond wedding was a beautiful reflection of their personalities and the people who matter most to them. Their soft blue wedding details and classic attire brought a timeless elegance to the day, while the baseball stadium, romantic field portraits, and energetic reception made their celebration completely unique. From the quiet moments before their ceremony to the laughter in the dugout and the packed dance floor, their wedding was filled with genuine connections and memories worth preserving. It was exactly the kind of Michigan wedding I love documenting: personal, meaningful, a little unexpected, and full of moments that tell the story beyond the traditional wedding-day photographs.
